Early Autumn mists surround Limonero & a client
A spectacular October sunrise at Gilfach
Long shadows and t-shirts!
Only the brown leaves give away that fact that this is October!
Diary (October 2011)
Horses
Well! with the rather odd changes in weather patterns over the last few weeks, nothing and no-one seems to know what's going on with the seasons... We started September feeling very Autumnal, and ended it in t-shirts! The horse's like wise. George, Floy, Alfie, Pandora, Bobby, Limonero & Bunny have decided not to risk it and are well on their way to having a full winter coat already. Tez, Ico, Borba, Timber, Rosie, Jewel & Firefly are going for the t-shirt option, still sporting a sleek summer coat. The others are hedging their bets!
Oska, our newest recruit has now gone home for the winter - thus easing our tally of horses for a week... we are about to take delivery of a newly weaned Section A foal to give Bunny/Serenity some like-aged company.
The human team
The winter regime is slowly setting in, with more stable management duties taking up the day, and a more restful time for the school horses. I for one am dreading the winter drudgery - lets hope "they" are wrong about another hard one!
The Farm
Still looking tidy. The latest project is soon to be completed ... a further sand turn-out area complete with two stables/field shelter.
We look forward to welcoming you to Gilfach soon.
